Since April 2020, Blue Bay has officially become a sponsor for the Taiwan Guide Dog Association. Not only do we provide sponsorship through pet food, but we also actively engage with the association. Through on-site visits and firsthand experiences of guide dogs in action, we have gained a profound understanding of the significant assistance these dogs provide to visually impaired individuals.

Both the Taiwan Guide Dog Association and Blue Bay share deep roots in Taiwan. Despite there being over 60,000 visually impaired individuals in Taiwan, there are only around 40 guide dog users. Having a guide dog can greatly enhance the lives of visually impaired individuals, so the breeding and training of guide dogs is crucial. This process requires dedicated trainers who painstakingly nurture and educate these dogs day by day. The association also plays a vital role in raising awareness about guide dogs, their work, and their needs, while continuously receiving support from the community.

The Taiwan Guide Dog Association demonstrates great care in its choice of pet food. Each brand undergoes detailed research and rigorous scrutiny before granting approval for use by guide dogs. The dietary patterns, bowel movements, and overall well-being of the dogs are carefully monitored and evaluated. Only after this thorough evaluation is a decision made regarding their food brand to ensure that guide dogs are in optimal condition.

Therefore, we are truly honored to be a sponsor for the Taiwan Guide Dog Association. Through our support in providing pet food, we also hope to collectively assist the Association and contribute our efforts to the visually impaired community in Taiwan.
